Positive Tomorrows

For our students, their time at Positive Tomorrows is a chance to see they are not alone in facing the challenges of homelessness. All of their peers are also homeless, fostering an environment of understanding that can't be matched in a traditional public school system. We work to remove barriers, support families and provide the best possible education. There is a volunteer job for everyone at Positive Tomorrows. Mentors can commit to one hour per week for one school year to help a student develop academic and social skills while providing consistency in the child's life. Lunch room volunteers help out in the lunchroom by talking to students, reading aloud, serving food, etc. After school program volunteers assist staff in conducting age-appropriate games and activities. Positive Tomorrows required all volunteers be at least 16 years old. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Minors can also participate in collection projects or host their own fundraiser.
