The mission of the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center is to directly support the safe and efficient operations of our national and international aviation systems and provide competitive business solutions for our customers.

The Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, is home to over 6,300 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees, contractors and students. The Center provides technical training, logistics support, and financial services to over 40 federal agencies across the nation, including the FAA. The Aeronautical Center’s workforce delivers products and services to a variety of federal entities. Services include: • The FAA Academy Delivers technical training to support all facets of the National Airspace System, involving air traffic control and maintenance of our nation’s airspace equipment. Technical support is provided to hundreds of countries, influencing the adoption of U.S. law, FAA regulations, and best practices. • FAA Logistics Center Provides centralized supply chain management and field site services such as maintenance, repair, overhaul, and distribution to support the National Airspace System 24/7. Services and support are provided to more than 45,000 facilities at 28,000 different locations. • Enterprise Services Center (ESC) The ESC offers financial management shared services across the entire federal government, processing millions of financial transactions annually. ESC also supports information technologies through an array of various platforms. • Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Conducts medical and human factors research as it relates to safety in aviation. The Institute administers medical certification to over 600,000 U.S. pilots. • Civil Aviation Registry Responsible for the U.S. repository of all official records involving civil aircraft, airmen, and unmanned aerial systems. The Aeronautical Center complex is comprised of 133 buildings providing 3.3 million square feet of industrial, administrative, and laboratory space.
